Diplexer Matching Techniques for High Power Microwave Applications

Based on mode field matching theory, the rf structures of the diplexer in radiating systems for high power microwave applications are systematically studied in this paper. Solutions are presented for both TM and TE polarized plane wave incident, from free space to tabulate waveguides, and a method for analyzing thick rectangle diplexers is presented. This method can be used to analyze arbitrary shaped diplexers and it provides a reliable means for optimizing diplexer for high power microwave applications.
