The Development of Automatic Control Systems for Microwave Processing of Materials

Microwave sintering of ceramics is an energy and time efficient process to manufacture materials with excellent properties, without deleterous effects on the environment. In this paper, an automatic control system for high-temperature microwave furnaces for materials manufacturing is developed, which is based on an analysis of microwave heating mechanism. The systems hardware and software components are described in detail.
