Superplasticity and Application of Superplastic Forming/Diffusion Bonding Technology

Most of the engineering materials possess the ability of superplasticity.As an advanced manufactu-ring technology and based on the theory of superplasticity,Superplastic Forming/Diffusion Bonding is widely used in aerospace industry.In this paper,the phenomenon of superplasticity is analysed and the research progress on the theory of superplastic forming is reviewed.The basic theories,advantage and application of superplastic forming/diffusion bonding technology are introduced,and its development trend is forecasted.
