Methods and Mechanisms of Strengthening-toughening of NiAl Based Composite

Recent researches on strengthening-toughening of NiAl based composite are reviewed.For improving the strength and toughness,several methods and mechanisms are introduced,such as alloying,grain refining or composite strengthening,and adopting advanced technology.But each of the strengthening methods can only improve the mechanical properties in a small range.At last,the existing problems in these researches and the future research aspects are pointed out,that if combines deeper researches in atomic scale with new technology and new equipment development,the shortness of mechanical properties of NiAl alloy could be well remedied,and the expectation for great use of this material could become true.
