Research Progress on Poly-anionic Silicate Cathode Materials for Lithium Ion Batteries

The progress on the design,preparation,characteristics and electrochemical performance of silicate cathode materials for lithium ion batteries is reviewed.The quantum chemistry method based on the DFT is introduced to accomplish the design of lithium ion batteries.The theoretical and experimental studies on the Li2MSiO4 and its composite are key factors to the development of next generation of high-capacity lithium ion batteries.
