Application Status of Phase Field Crystal Model in the Heteroepitaxy

Compared with traditional simulation methods such as molecular dynamics and standard phase field model,phase field crystal model,a new modeling technique,has distinct advantages over traditional,which is that this formulation allows a description of material microstructure evolution on diffusive time scales and interatomic length scales.Application of phase field crystal model in the heteropitaxy has made great progress.The pure substances and binary alloys phase field crystal model and organizes the research shape in heteroepitaxial of phase field crystal model are briefly described.The further research direction and application prospect of the model in epitaxial thin films are pointed out.
