Selection Criteria of Heat Source Model on the Welding Numerical Simulation

Heat source model(HSM)is a basis of the welding process numerical simulation.Its choice affects the accuracy of the simulation results directly.The research progress in HSM of welding numerical simulation is reviewed.The application status of Rosenthal-Rykalin model,2DGuass HSM,2Ddouble elliptic distribution HSM,uniform HSM,hemisphere HSM,3DGuass HSM,3Ddouble elliptic distribution HSM and mixed HSM are emphatically analyzed,as well as the selection criteria is ascertained quantificationally.3DHSM is a development direction in order to analyze the welding melting and solidification.
