The Investigation of Wear Mechanism and Material Selection of Bucket Teeth on Excavator

The impactive wear failure mechanism of bucket teeth is reviewed.The chemical composition,microstructure,mechanical property and wear resistance characteristics of austenitic manganese steel,low alloy steel, white cast iron are described.The methods such as alloying and heat treatment that can improve the mechanical strength,hardness,toughness,work hardening and wear resistance of bucket teeth are expounded.Technical measures can further improve wear resistance and service life are presented,including composition optimization and material selection,smelting and casting technology research,heat treatment process and composite structures and material design of bucket teeth.
