Preparation and Tribological Properties Analysis of Superhydrophilicity/Superhydrophobic TiO_2 Film on TC4 Titanium Alloy

TiO2film on TC4 titanium alloy substrate were acquired by anodic oxidation,then it was modified by(Heptadecafluoro-1,1,2,2-tetradecyl)trimethoxysilane.OCA20cont-act angle measuring system was used to measure the static contact angle of deionized water on the substrate′s surface,the TiO2film′s,the composite film of TiO2/fluorosilane′s,which were 62°,7°,158°,the wettability of substrate convert from hydrophilicity to superhydrophhilicity then to superhydrophobicity.At room temperature,the friction and wear tests of specimens were carried out on a UMT-2universal micro-tribometer using the ball/plane contact mode,and the friction dual part was 440-C stainless steel ball.The result indicate that substrate′s friction coefficient was about 0.4,TiO2film′s and TiO2/fluoroalkylsilane composite film′s were about 0.1,TiO2 film possessed antifriction characteristics;the wear mechanism of substrate was abrasive wear,the TiO2 film and TiO2/fluoroalkylsilane composite film were showed plastic deformation and a slight abrasive wear.
