Preparation and Electrocatalytic Properties of S/N Co-doped Graphene

The S/N co-doped graphene catalyst was prepared by one-step hydrothermal method.The physical morphology,composition and phase of the catalysts were analyzed by SEM,TEM,Raman,IR and XRD.The electrocatalytic performance of the catalysts was studied by electrochemical analysis.It is proved that S and N are successfully doped into graphene lattice by different physical characterization.Co-doped graphene has a typical graphene morphology.The high electrocatalytic activity of the dopant graphene is derived from the fact that the graphene is still doped with S and N,which still has a high specific surface area and some properties peculiar to the graphene itself.When the dopant graphene is catalytically reduced in 0.1 mol/L KOH solution,both the starting potential,the half-wave potential,and the limiting current density can be comparable to that of the commercially produced noble metal catalyst,indicating that the S/N doped graphene can be used as an alternative to the currently used noble metal catalyst in the oxygen reduction catalytic activity.
