Low Temperature Synthesize SrCe_(0.85)Er_(0.15)O_(3-α) Using Sol-Gel Method and Its Composite Electrolyte for Intermediate Temperature Fuel Cell

SrCe_(0.85)Er_(0.15)O_(3-α) was synthesized by sol-gel method at 1 100 ℃ and selected to compound with NaCl-KCl.The heat-treated temperature(750 ℃)is much lower than the conventional sintering temperature(1 500 ℃)of single cerium strontium material.XRD pattern showed that there has no reaction between SrCe_(0.85)Er_(0.15)O_(3-α)and NaCl-KCl.The highest conductivity was observed to be 1.1×10-1 S·cm-1 at 700℃ which is much higher than that of single cerium strontium material.The H2/O2 fuel cell of the composite electrolyte generated the maximum power density of 260.8 mW·cm-2 at 700 ℃.
