Research Progress of the Preparation and Application of Phosphor in Glass for White LED

Phosphor in glass used for white LED has the characteristics of good physical/chemical stability,high thermal conductivity and maintaining the characteristics of phosphors.It can effectively avoid the problems of low luminous efficiency,color coordinate drift,and heat dissipation of white LED,due to silicone or epoxy resin cracking and degradation of phosphor in the traditional white LED package.In this paper,the preparation methods of phosphor in glass and its application in white LED are summarized.The history and latest research progress of phosphor in glass in the application of white LED lighting are discussed.The further development of white LED is also expected.
