Effect of Solution,Aging Treatment and High-deformation Process on Microstructure and Properties of Cu-1wt%Ag Alloy

The Cu-1 wt%Ag alloy was prepared by vacuum induction furnace melting,and the target alloy was solution-treated at 760℃for 4 hours,and then aged at 500 ℃for different time,the microstructure,electrical conductivity and Vickers hardness of the alloy were observed and tested.The alloy after 4 hours aging process was selected and taken to roll and draw to obtain wires with the diameter of 1.028—0.089 mm.The microstructure,electrical conductivity and the tensile strength of the wires were observed and tested.Results show that as the aging time increases,the elemental Ag gradually precipitates on the boundary,the electrical conductivity of the alloy increases first and then stabilize,and the hardness of the alloy first increase and then decrease and finally stabilize.It demonstrated that the alloy with 4 hours aging process had a good performance.In addition,as the true strain increases,the tensile strength of Cu-1 wt%Ag alloy wire first increases and then stabilizes,while the conductivity decreases slowly.When the true strainηof the alloy wire is 10.36,the tensile strength can reach 778.7 MPa and the conductivity can reach 90.98%IACS.
