Magnetic Phase Transition and Magnetocaloric Effect in Ni_(0.75)Fe_(0.25)MnGe_(1.01)

We have investigated the structural and magnetic of Ni_(0.75)Fe_(0.25)MnGe_(1.01).The austenite phase could be stabilized with Ni_2 In-type structure at room temperature(RT).Moreover,the temperature of the first order martensitic transformation is adjacent to the ferromagnetic transition,thereby widening the working temperature region of the alloy,making it play an important role in magnetic refrigeration.The martensitic transition shifts to a lower temperature following the magnetic field increasing.Finally,a positive and negative magnetic entropy change(MEC)were observed around Ttand Tc,respectively.
