C/C composites, which inherited the intrinsic biocompatibility of carbon material, has excellent mechanical properties, especially the elastic modulus similar to natural bones. The three-dimensional porous structure of the C/C material also contributes to cell entry, growth and proliferation, therefore it has great prospects on the application of bone repair and replacement.C/C composite materials possess poor hydrophilic properties and are bioinert materials,so the surface bioactive modification of C/C composites has been extensively studied. In this work, the research on the preparation of different bioactive coatings on the surface of C/C composite material has been reviewed, and the existing problems and future prospect are put forward.
