A Review on the Amine-functionalized Porous Materials for CO_2 Capture

Growing CO_2 emissions leading to intensifying global greenhouse effect seriously affects the human lives and developments in recent years.Technologies for CO_2 capture,sequestration and utilization have been proven to be an important measure to drastically reduce CO_2 emissions and effectively mitigate the greenhouse effect in the short-term,and attracted more and more attentions.In this paper,the latest research progress of CO_2 adsorption performances for some typical amine-functionalized porous materials are introduced.The principles,merits and demerits of amine-functionalized modification for porous materials are reviewed.The methods of improving the CO_2 adsorption performances,including surface modification,structural adjustment and morphology control,are briefly summarized for each porous systems.Finally,the present challenges and perspectives of the future research are discussed and proposed.
