Study on BF Slag Modified by Flue Gas Sintering Desulfurization Ash and Its Mechanism

In order to enhance the resource utilization of flue gas sintering desulfurization ash(FGD ash)and the early activity of blast furnace slag,this paper studied the blast furnace slag modified by flue gas desulfurization ash,and the influence of modified blast furnace slag on the strength,dry shrinkage and free expansion in water of cement was investigated.The hydration,micro morphology and volcano ash exothermic mechanism of modified blast furnace slag-cement mortar were analyzed by methods of X-ray diffraction,differential thermal analysis-thermogravimetry(DTA-TG)and scanning electron microscope(SEM).The results showed that the 3 d,7 d,28 dactivity of modified blast furnace slag-cement mortar was significantly improved,because blast furnace slag produced hydration products such as 3 CaO·Al2 O3 ·CaSO4 ·32 H2 O,2 CaSiO3 ·CaCO3 ·CaSO4 ·15 H2 O,3 CaO·Al2 O3 ·CaSO3·11 H2 O under the circumstance of SO42-,CO32-,SO32-by FGD ash.The hydration heat curve of modified blast furnace slag-cement system showed the 3 rd exothermic peak with the FGD ash mix.Although the peak had little difference from other peaks,the time of the peak apparently lagged behind which slowed down the hydration exothermic rate.
