A Review on the High Infrared Emissivity Coatings

The high infrared emissivity materials have good radiation and absorption properties which can effectively improve the radiation coefficient of surface and enhance the radiation heat transfer,thus the purpose of heat dissipation can be achieved.With the development of national defense and industrial technology,the high emissivity materials have been widely used in fields such as aeronautical materials,furnace materials,building materials,electronics and metallurgy,of which the coatings accounted for a large proportion.At present,the US,UK and other developed countries invest hundreds of millions per year on the high emissivity coatings research,The ultrathin,compound and multi-functional coating materials have been the main trend of development in recent years.The varieties of high emissivity coatings were outlined and the several preparation methods were also compared,meanwhile we summarized the influence factors on emissivity of coatings and the ways to increase the emissivity of coatings.
