Fabrication and Properties of PBS Toughened MWNTs/PLA Conductive Filaments for 3D Printing

In order to solve the problem of embrittlement of MWNTs/PLA conductive printing filaments,polybutylene succinate(PBS)was added into the MWNTs/PLA composites by melt blending with a co-rotating twin screw extrude.It is noticed that the amount of PBS significantly affects the properties of the composites.With the increase of PBS content,the electrical resistivity of the composite increases,and the fracture extension and the impact strength are also enhanced obviously,but the tensile strength,flexural strength and hardness decrease.At the PBS content of 10%,the composite manifests the optimized comprehensive performance,which was employed to fabricate PBS toughened MWNTs/PLA filaments,and the conductive filament was well-performed in practical 3 Dprinting
