Tribological Properties and Hydrophobic Properties of PTFE Composite Coatings

Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)has excellent self-lubricating properties,corrosion resistance and dielectric properties,excellent high and low temperature stability and chemical stability.In addition,PTFE also has excellent superhydrophobic properties,and in recent years the artificial superhydrophobic surfaces have broad application prospects in many fields.However a single PTFE coating's hardness is low and wear resistance is poor.In this paper,the research progress in recent years about tribological properties and hydrophobicity of PTFE composite coatings,which are modified with carbon materials or polymers and prepared by surface engineering technology,are reviewed.The future research direction of PTFE composite coating is also discussed.
