Laser Surface Modification Technology and Research Progress

Laser surface modification technology is one of the advanced technologies in surface engineering,which has become a hot spot in advanced manufacturing and remanufacturing application.The main laser surface modification methods are introduced in this paper,including laser phase transformation hardening,laser melt hardening,laser shock hardening,laser surface alloying.Finally,the prospect of technical development and engineering application is also predicated.
