Research on the Tensile Properties of Nodular Cast Iron with Different Content of Modified Nano-powders

The modified nano-powder M was added into nodular cast iron by pouring in,and the influence of different amount of modified nano-powder M on the structure and tensile properties of nodular cast iron was studied.The experimental results show that adding 0.01%(mass fraction)of modified nano-powder M,the comprehensive performance of graphite was enhanced the most significantly.The size was reduced and uniform,the amount of nano-powder and roundness increased,the grain refined,the content of pearlite decreased,content of ferrite increased,the tensile properties was improved.The tensile strength increased to 493.82 MPa,and the elongation increased to 19.09%.By fracture analysis,the mechanism of tensile fracture was mixed fracture.
