A Review on the Anti-creep Mechanism and Methods of Metallic Materials

This paper analyzes the deficiencies of creep resistance of traditional metal materials and the necessity of developing metal materials with excellent creep resistance.By analyzing the factors that affect creep,it is concluded that the temperature and stress can affect creep,and the precipitation phase is the key factor that influence the creep behavior.The methods and mechanisms of solid solution strengthening,precipitation hardening,dispersion strengthening and grain boundary strengthening are summarized and several creep test methods are listed.Finally,the application prospect of the anti-creep material is forecasted.
