A study on the dispersion properties of silicon dioxide in colour ink-jet printing paper

The effect of rotating speed, dispersion liquor concentration, dispersing time and dispersant dosage on dispersing process of micrometer silicon dioxide and nanometer silicon dioxide were discussed. The results show that the dispersion liquor concentration was the most important factor influencing dispersion effect, and the stability of micrometer silicon dioxide dispersion liquor was better than that of nanometer one. The proper dispersing concentration and storage time for micrometer silicon dioxide and nanometer silicon dioxide were 15%, less than 2h and 10%, less than 1h, respectively.
