The Caoba Pb deposit, located in Xuanen County, Hubei Province, is hosted in the Permian Maokou Formation. The mineralization are carbonate-type. Pb mineralization is controlled by the structures. With the Longtanxi fault is the ore-transmitting structure, the secondary NW-trending Qijiayuan fractured shatter zones and the NNE-trending Caoba interlayer fracture zones are ore-hosting structure, the lead ore mineralization is controlled by these structure, controlling the formation and migration of ore-forming fluid. The research on fluid inclusions indicated that the salinity and temperature of the metallogenic fluid is 0.35%~16.43 wt.%NaCleq.And 98 ℃ ~268 ℃, respectively. The ore-forming fluid belongs to medium-low temperature and low salinity fluid type. The δ ~(34)SCDT composition of galena spans-0.7‰~ 1.3‰ with a range of 2.0‰ and an average of 0.23‰. Suggested that the mineral sulfur was characterized by deep source sulfur. The composition of lead isotopes 206 Pb/204 Pb ranges from18.473~18.671(average 18.580); 207 Pb/204 Pb 15.737-15.823(average 15.775);208 Pb/204 Pb 38.899~ 39.139(average 39.003), which suggested that the mineral pb was from the upper crust. The mine belongs to the filling type lead deposit caused by medium-low temperature hydrothermal fluid.
