The Cultural Connection between Southwest China and South Asia in Neolithic Age

Yu Fangjie;Li Mian;Department of Basic Course Education,Sichuan Fine Arts Institute;College of History and Society,Chongqing Normal University;
Southwest China had cultural exchanges with the northwest subregion of South Asia in the Neolithic Age. Through the study of the cultural interaction among Karuo in Tibet and Mehrgarh in Baluchistan region of South Asia,Bruzahom and Gufkral in Kashmir,it is found that the Karuo is closely related to Mehrgarh in terms of pottery carving,interlining technology,Cowrie Shell processing technology. Mehrgarh did not have a direct impact on Karuo. It penetrated into Tibet through the Himalayan corridor. The interactive relationship between Karo and Neolithic culture in Kashmir showed the existence of this cultural communication channel.
