Facile Synthesis of BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2@Graphene with Enhanced Visible Light Photocatalytic Performance

[Purposes]Two-dimensional BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2@Graphene nanocomposites,using BiCl_3 and NaOH as raw materials,and grapheme as template,were synthesized by depositing BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2 nanosheets onto the surface of graphene at room temperature.[Methods]The as-obtained samples are characterized by XRD,SEM,TEM,HRTEM,UV-Vis DRS and BET-BJH.[Findings]The as-obtained BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2@Graphene nanocomposites exhibit much higher visible light photocatalytic activity than that of pure BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2 nanosheets.[Conclusions]The enhanced photocatalytic activity of BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2@Graphene nanocomposites resulted from the synergistic effect of the improved visible light absorption,enlarged special surface areas and pore volumes,and efficient photo-generated electron-hole pairs separation.The present work could provide a new route for the synthesis of BiOCl/Bi_(12)O_(17)Cl_2 based visible light photocatalysts.
