Experimental Study on the Foaming Properties of Ethylene Glycol in Natural Gas Dehydration Cycle

This paper aims at studying the phenomenon that ethylene glycol can easily foam in ethylene glycol dehydration cycle system.Experiments are made to analyze the influence of condensate oil,corrosion inhibitor,acid and defoaming agent to the foaming properties of ethylene glycol,and to find the foaming principle of ethylene glycol.The results show that condensate oil,corrosion inhibitor,acid and defoaming agent in the glycol(fluid rich) have different effects on foaming degree,and different concentrations of the same factor have different influences as well.
