Study on Measurement of the Near-Bit Torque in Gas Drilling Based on the Deformation of Drill String

In order to judge whether in the downhole pipe-sticking,borehole wall collapse or other dangerous work conditions happen,it is necessary to real-time monitor the change of drill string torque during gas drilling.Meanwhile,it can save time for deciding the accurate construction measurement and decrease potential accidents.Two approaches,surface-detecting and downhole-detecting,are dominated in examining the torque of the BHA in contemporary field application,but both of them have limitations.Therefore,the method of measuring torsional angle of the drill string was designed and the relation of the corner and the near-bit torque were deduced.The laboratory experiments verify the feasibility of using the corner method to measure the near-bit torque.
