Fracture Failure Analysis of an HT200 Assistor

In order to study the causes of the fracture of HT200 castings in a factory,the chemical composition,mechanical properties and microstructure of grey cast iron HT200 were tested and analyzed.The results show that the abnormal castings have defects such as shrinkage cavity,coarse graphite and low pearlite content,which leads to the decrease of hardness and tensile strength of the castings,and the fracture failure of castings is easy to happen under the external mechanical force.
