An Improved Sample Pixel Weight Calculation in Bayesian Matting

Bayesian matting remains a typical alpha image matting algorithm based on color statistics.However,with complex-background/foreground texture,the matting quality of Bayesian approach is not ideal.Therefore,a new method of calculating pixel weights is presented,which considers both the geodesic distance and color distance of sample pixels as factors in calculation.Experiments show that this approach achieves better results than the original Bayesian matting method.
