The Yangtze River Shipping and Bashu Area's Logistics during Song Dynasty

During Song Dynasty, Bashu area's featured products were carried to all parts of the country through the Yangtze River waterway, even to overseas markets, and products from other regions, including overseas, were also able to enter Sichuan. Yangtze River played an important role in people and goods flows between western and eastern parts of China, promoted the social and economic development in Bashu region, and met even broader market demands in the middle and lower reaches of Yangtze River.
