Research progress on HIV infection and associated risk factors among synthetic drug users

The prevalence of HIV infection among synthetic drug users has significant geographical variation.Injecting synthetic drug users and man who have sex with man have a higher risk for HIV infection.Among synthetic drug users,the risk factors for HIV infection and transmission include the unmarried,unemployed,drug abuse,injecting drug and sharing syringe,the unprotected sexual behaviors such as multiple sexual partners,sexual transactions and sexual violence,co-morbidities.It is high time to promote the drug control effect and take targeted intervention and treatment measures,in order to prevent and reduce HIV infection and transmission among synthetic drug users in China.
