Analysis of Safety Risk Identification of Urban Utility Tunnel Based on Kent Method

The urban utility tunnel was a complex system which made up of many pipelines and ancillary facilities. Serious accidents would be happen once the potential safety hazard of the complex system was triggered. Security risk identification was an important task in the early stage of the research on the safety assurance of utility tunnel. The complete utility tunnel system architecture was established based on the analysis of the utility tunnel system's basic elements from overall perspective. The classification study was carried out based on Kent method,by which,numerous mechanisms and laws of events which lead to safety accident had been clarified. The identification system and Fault tree model of utility tunnel accidents was formed. It was proved to have a fundamental effect on the security prevention and the construction of safety evaluation system. and be feasible in analyzing the composition of fault trees and the importance of basic events when applied in an engineering case with a detailed planning design.
