LIU Xingjian;WANG Tianqi;
Social psychology refers to the general psychology that the social groups at this stage continue to show after the social development reaches a certain level. This state of mind stems from the intuitive perception of the members of the community in real life, and projection into the physical space will guide the planning and construction of urban environment. However, due to the complexity and hierarchy of the members of society, their reflection on the real world always results from the collective consensus of the socially dominant groups. The specific construction activities in the process of urban planning are also often restricted and guided by the individual characteristics condensed from the collective consensus.At present, China has entered the middle-income stage. Although the "olivetype" stable social structure has not yet been formed, the rise of the middle-income groups corresponding to them has been foreseeable, taking into account the past development experience of the developed countries. With the rise of this group, the new personality traits will first be manifested in the rectification of the existing physical space environment, which will directly affect our urban planning.In this context of social change, this paper first makes a reasonable division of middle-income groups, summed up the definition of methods. The demonstration of this group of people is about to rise and become the backbone of promoting social development. Second, using social psychology as a medium to show the inner relationship between middle-income groups and urban planning and construction. Then through the analysis of the personality characteristics, behavioral needs and other content of the middle-income groups, this group has refined the new demands of the group on urban space environment. Finally, aiming at the space demands of middle-income groups, this paper reveals the problems existing in the spatial environment of the built-up areas in current cities of our country. And rely on the city "darning up" planning ideas to provide solutions.
