School-based Cultivation: The Inevitable Route of Teacher Professional Development in the New-type College

Since teachers' attainment influences college development and teaching quality, it is an inevitable route to strengthen teachers' training and promote their professional development for new-type colleges at present. School-based training is practicable and feasible. Under the circumstances of the insufficient number of teachers, heavy teaching task, and lack of off-job training, this paper suggests that the "trinity" teaching team mechanism and "multi-platform" professional development route should be constructed. Besides, equal emphasis should be placed on teacher learning and researching. Only in this way can teachers' professional development be realized in new-type colleges.
