Simulation study on ride comfort of a heavy truck cab using active suspension system

In order to meet the ride comfort of the heavy truck cab when on line-haul,the H2 control algorithm based on the linear matrix inequalities(LMI) is presented for the active control of a 6 degree-of-freedom half-heavy-truck suspension system model.The road disturbance is integral white-noise stochastic signal.Numerical simulation results demonstrate that active suspension with a proper control strategy can decrease the roll angle and roll angle acceleration of the truck cab,the active suspension can improve both the ride comfort and driving safety.
