Optimum design of box-maingirder

Focused on the condition about the higher weight and the complex structure of box-form beam overhead traveling crane,the optimal mathematics model of the box girder is built and the software based on the traditional material mechanics method is developed.Then the modern design method—optimum design to box girder is adopted by two methods(including finite element method).The result indicates that the weight of the overhead traveling crane is decreased in the same condition after optimum design,and is more economical.
