Landscape Planning and Design of Fluctuating Zone Based on Water-level Fluctuation Rhythm in Nan'an District of Chongqing

Water-level-fluctuating zone in Chongqing area of Three Gorges Reservoir is a special environmental carrier formed by periodical water level fluctuation. The paper mainly analyzed the fluctuation information of the water level rhythm over the years to obtain the design reference line of different elevations,and then correspondingly took the comprehensive planning and design measures including engineering management,ecological restoration,landscape beautification,and resilience to flood for the fluctuating zone under different water level conditions. This study was aimed to provide analytical thinking and design reference for the landscape planning and design of urban fluctuating zone in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area.
