A Study of Park Planning Based on the Concept of Soil and Water Conservation:A Case Study of Yuxi River Ecological Park in Yulin City

Because of the climate and geographical conditions,soil erosion is serious and the ecological environment is very fragile in northern Shaanxi. The study of combining the soil and water conservation concept and landscape planning and design in the Loess Plateau Region is of great significance to this problem. Soil and water loss in Yuxi River Ecological Park in Yulin City is a serious problem. In the northwest arid area,the water resources is deficient because of low precipitation; the soil desertification is serious; and the vegetation is monotonous in types which leads to the lack of landscape. Based on the concept of soil and water conservation,three landscape measures are put forward,i. e.,water resources conservation,soil retention and improvement and vegetation restoration,to prevent soil erosion and protect soil and water resources. With the practical cases,we explore the landscape planning for the fragile ecological area in the Loess Plateau of Northern Shaanxi.
