In the year of 1930 s,the Kuomintang government tried to control the production of literature in order to establish the autocratic control on writers in a legal form, which can be classified into literature censorship in a strict sense. The censorship of the Kuomintang is an example of a formal review,a mixture of pre and post review.Founded in 1934 in Shanghai, the Central Book Magazine Review Committee does not seem to change the main power relations within the Chinese literary field in the year of 1930 s.Compared with other areas of censorship and repression, the Kuomintang's literary review,to a certain extent, respects the rules of the literary field.
