Effectual Study of Base Horizontal Excitating Isolation for Steel Rolling-Limiting Displacement System

Shu Wenchao Zeng Qingyuan Wang Ronghui(Civil Architectural Engineering College,Changsha Railway University,Changsha,410075 )  
In this paper, theoretic analysis is done to a new earthquake isolation system with steel rolling in base and limiting displacement. The influence of the fricting coefficient, gap dimension and stop stiffness is studied. The structural response is independent of the periods of structure and earthquake waves ,but the gap can create an extremly high acceleration response.
