Stability of tracks with continuous welded rails using equilibrium of inner and external moment of force

The track showed some form of geometrical imperfection or misalignment,and the track was loaded by a nonlinear lateral ballast resistance and fastening moment of force.In view of the treatment of the rail buckling problem,a continuous sinusoidal shape was assumed.Based on equilibrium of inner external moment of force,the stability of CWR track was researched and the expression of temperature stress in CWR track was derived for analyzing the mechanical performance of the CWR track.Inputting different deformation wavelengths,the minimum temperature load of CWR track was obtained by applying the optimization method.The numerical results using proposed mechanical model were presented,and compared with those using the method in code for design of railway track.There is the maximum difference being less than.The good agreement between them shows that the proposed technique is an effective method for evaluating stresses in CWR track.
