Self-balanced loading tests for bridge pile foundation

Combined with self-balancing loading test data on eight bridge piles from new Nanning to Litang railway,the position effects between osterberg cell and the self-balanced point on ultimate bearing capacity of pile were analyzed based on the location of the osterberg cell for test piles and the properties of the surrounding soil.The results show that accuracy of ultimate bearing capacity of single pile can seriously depend on whether the osterberg cell was put in the right position or not.The properties of soil around the pile also can not be ignored.The self-balance position,presented an aids,can be back-calculated by allowable bearing capacity of axial compression for single pile.
