Innovation capability evaluation and spatial difference analysis to the urban agglomerations of the Yangtze River Delta Area

This essay firstly constructs the evaluation index system of innovation capability of urban agglomerations of the Yangtze River Delta Area.Then,it uses Principal Component Analysis Method to evaluate the innovation capability of all the cities in the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomerations,and analyses the spatial differences of urban innovation capability using Cluster Analysis and Spatial Autocorrelation Analysis Methods.The results show that there is obvious difference in the innovation capability of the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomerations.The innovation capability of Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration shows a positive spatial correlation,that is,tendency of similar types clustering,which means cities with strong innovation capability are surround cities by strong innovation capability,and cities with weak innovation capability surround by cities with weak innovation capability,showing the Matthew Effect.
