Investigation of MR GD-DTPA Myelogram Imaging

Purpose: To investigate a new method , MR imaging be performed after GD-DTPA subarachnoid administration. Materials and methods : 11 patients be examined with MR before and after GD-DTPA subarachnoid administration, and keep the same sequence. the doses are 0.5-1.0 ml.Results:The CSF signal of all the GD-DTPA mylogram patients shows negative compared with plain MR images after contrast administration immediately: T1 WI high signal,T2WI-low signal.Conclusion:Low dose GD-DTPA mylogram MR imaging is safe and perfect. It is important to evaluate the dynamic of the CSF circulation and some special CNS lesions.
