A Guidance Method for Two Dimensional Trajectory Correction Projectile Based on Impact Point Prediction pf EKF

This paper presents a method of Impact Point Prediction( IPP) which combines the Extended Kalman Filtering( EKF) and the sensitivity Matrix to increase the guidance precision of two dimensional trajectory correction projectile with satellite measurement. Firstly,the three-degree-of-freedom mass point projectile model is employed and the discrete state equation of Kalman filtering is deduced to predict the flight parameters. Secondly,a perturbation ballistic trajectory is predicted with extended Kalman filtering to obtain the impact point; a sensitivity matrix guidance law is proposed and the approximate matrix solution method is given. Finally,numerical simulation verification results on two dimensional trajectory correction projectile are shown. The verified results shows that EKF is not only high precision but alsoconverged quickly for estimating the ballistic parameters,and the sensitivity matrix guidance law decreases the circular error probable( CEP) effectively,which can meet the precision requirement of the two dimensional trajectory correction projectile.
