Discrete Element Simulation Analysis of Sudden Instability of Stacked Slope

In view of the fact that the existing slope stability analysis method can not reasonably reflect the sudden instability problem of partial pile slope,a particle-discrete element method is proposed to study it.Combined with the degree of displacement and deformation before slope disaster and the phenomenon of slope body disintegration,landslide instability analysis is carried out on the slope of the sedimentary body which is mainly composed of granite residual soil slope. The key points are the soil particle bond strength and slope porosity's change. The continuous slip damage caused by the corresponding accumulation of internal cracks is a serious reason for the suddenly loss stability and disintegration. Finally,it is proposed to use real-time flaw detector in engineering practice to monitor the development of cracks in the slope of the pile body in order to prevent catastrophic failure.
