Research Progress in Bio-Remediation and Microbial Mineralization in Heavy Metal Contaminated Soil Treatment
With the development of industrialization, heavy metal pollution to the environment is becoming more and more serious, especially more and more heavy metals are discharged into the environment through various ways to cause soil pollution. The heavy metals in the soil are difficult to separate and degrade, and can enter the human body through the food chain, thus causing a great threat to the survival and health of human beings. There are physical, chemical and biological methods to treat heavy metals in soil. Physico-chemical methods are often expensive, and the effect is not good, easy to cause secondary pollution, and is not suitable for large areas, low concentration of heavy metal pollution. Microbial remediation of soil pollution in biological process is a new method of soil remediation, in which microbial induced calcite precipitation(MICP) is an environment-friendly green treatment method, and the cost is low. The main results are as follows: microbial induced calcite precipitation is a kind of environmental friendly and green remediation method. This paper mainly discusses the application of microbial mineralization in soil heavy metals in recent years and prospects for the future.
