A Method for Determination of Electrochemical Activity of Glassy Carbon Electrode by Fractal Dimension

Glassy carbon, as a new electrode material, is widely used in drug research and analysis, and the surface state of electrode has important influence on electrode surface activity, electrocatalysis and reaction rate. The glassy carbon electrode should be pretreated before each use. The electrochemical performance of the pretreated glassy carbon electrode was measured by cyclic voltammetry, and the fractal dimension of the electrode surface was used as an important index to evaluate the microstructure and electrical activity of the active layer on the surface of the electrode. Using this method, the consistency of electrode state can be quickly and quantitatively measured before the electrode is used to ensure that it is not affected by impurities or contamination.
